Executive Director

Tara Brown is a human services professional with seven years of experience working with and developing programming for families and individuals experiencing homelessness. Prior to her time in human services, Tara worked for seven years in the insurance industry in her hometown of Urbandale, Iowa. She has a Bachelor of Science in Human Services with an emphasis in Addiction Studies from the University of Phoenix. A strong client advocate, Tara has a passion for serving others and believes the best part of her job is working closely with the mothers and children at MHoH. Tara is inspired daily by her husband and their three daughters. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family, read a good book and cheer on the Minnesota Vikings.


Ashley Monahan is a highly skilled and dedicated Family Life Specialist at Martha's House of Hope. With her experience working with children with special needs, Ashley brings a unique perspective and set of skills to her role. Her passion for helping families and children in need is evident in her compassionate and caring approach to her work.
She is a highly skilled communicator and problem solver, with a keen ability to assess the needs of families and develop effective strategies to help them thrive. Her expertise in working with children with special needs has been invaluable to the mothers and children she works with, providing them with the support and tools they need to succeed.

As a dedicated professional and advocate, Ashley is committed to helping families overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. She is a valued member of the Martha's House of Hope team, and her contributions have been essential to the success of the program. Her kindness, compassion, and dedication to helping others make her an outstanding Family Life Specialist and role model for all who work with her.

Our board members/founders believe in the sanctity of life. They have fiduciary responsibility for Martha's House of Hope and take an active part in planning the budget and fundraising needs.
