As volunteers of Martha’s House of Hope we are committed to working together along with staff as a unified team, to ensure every mother and baby receives the most impactful care possible. Our mission is to equip mothers to become self-sufficient in their lives beyond our walls for generations to come.

" The best part is seeing the moms fall in love with their babies, and babies so naturally bonding with and responding to their mothers – it is as it should be. For me, the love between mother and baby is the incalculable fruit of MHOH’s mission.

It is beautiful to behold women, who are transformed into mothers, and together with their babies form this relationship that is unique to them alone. This beauty reflects to me a personal God - the Giver of life and the Author of love.

AREAS TO GET PLUGGED IN

Resident Support

Ensuring residents feel welcome in the home, preparing welcoming packets, party/gathering planning, etc.

Healthy Family

Address family needs, teach residents how to care for a home, encourage healthy habits and involvement in community events.

Transportation

Help with transporting residents to work, classes, appointments, church etc. (most trips will only be one way.) VOLUNTEERS MUST BE 21 OR OLDER.

Mentor Moms

Serve as a mentor providing guidance, oversight and encouragement to one of our residents. Regularly meeting with resident as well as staff to ensure goals are being met and the most impactful care given.

House Coverage

Providing support when staff are unavailable to be at the home during daytime hours or spending the night in the home to support residents (especially when baby is new and up throughout the night or when a resident is close to giving birth.) VOLUNTEERS MUST BE 21 OR OLDER.

Cuddle Care

Babysitting for a resident while she is at an appointment, class, or otherwise approved opportunity. VOLUNTEERS MUST BE 18 OR OLDER OR HAVE COMPLETED A BABYSITTING CLASS

Donation Sorting

Assist in the sorting, storing and organizing of donations, as well as distributing unneeded or overflow donations to local organizations and thrift stores for use in the community.

Cooking with Residents

Assist with meal prep and planning, making meals with the residents or bringing in a meal to share with the home.

There are so many ways to get plugged in with Martha's House of Hope, we want to use your different gifts to bless the home. From teaching micro classes to lawn care, and everything in between! We cant wait to partner with you to provide the best care to every woman and baby that walks through our doors.

RECENT HIGHLIGHTS

Mustard Seed Farm graciously made a trip out to the home to help our residents plant their raised beds with fresh produce which the moms have been enjoying all summer!

The Service and Justice Team at STA church organized a group of eager volunteers to complete many tasks around the home that otherwise go unnoticed!

Debbie and Rosemary regularly take time to sort and organize our donation storage area. Thanks to these ladies we are able to better steward our donations!!

The City Serve Group from Stonebrook Community church tackled our large amount of yardwork, cleaning up our outdoor space and preparing it for future landscape projects!
